John Birkmire - Non-Executive Director

John qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Neville Russell, now known as Mazars, in 1980. He joined Lloyd Thompson Ltd in 1982, becoming Finance Director in 1992, and retired from there in 1994. John has been a member of Lloyd's since 1988. He was a Non-Executive Director of London Bridge Software Holdings Plc from 1997 to June 2004 and of Innovation Group Plc from 1999 to 2003. John was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of R K Harrison Holdings Ltd in March 1999 and as Senior Non-Executive Director of R K Harrison Insurance Brokers Ltd in May 2004. He is a member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.
