James Beckett - Director of Energy Division

James started his broking career in September 1984 when he joined the Marine Liability and P&I Division of Bain Dawes Plc. In 1986, he moved to the Oil & Gas Division of Willis Faber & Dumas, where he was involved in the placement of wide ranging products for all facets of the energy industry. In 1991, he joined the Energy Department of Lloyd Thompson Ltd (latterly JLT Risk Solutions). He left JLT in September 2000 to join a new underwriting venture with specific responsibility for their energy and marine liability account; this venture was short lived and in October 2001, he joined Agnew Higgins Pickering & Co to develop their energy liability account. In 2003, he assumed responsibility for this practice group. James joined R K Harrison Insurance Brokers Limited in January 2005 and is a Board Director.
